The best method for cleaning large jute rug?

I have a rug 9 x 6 jute in our dining room table has become very irregular dingey. Any suggestions on the easiest method to clean? http://www.worldmarket.com/window-coverings/rugs/natural-fiber-rugs/Turmeric-Jute-Boucle-Rug-or-Runner/lev/4/productId/5353/Ne/1100001/Ns / NEW_ARRIVAL_FLAG | 1 | | CATEGORY_SEQ_2968 | 0/N/1100124/Nty/1/view/10000/index.pro

Here is a suggestion ………………. Question: How I clean a jute rug without damaging it? Answer: Jute is a rough straw fiber jute plant, native to South and Southeast Asia. It is often used to make rope and burlap bags, as well as rustic woven rugs. Jute is similar in appearance to sisal, another natural plant fiber, and can cause many of the same challenges when cleaning. Jute rots when exposed to moisture, so it should be used only in dry and clean the house carefully. The best way to keep the appearance of a jute rug is a religious vacuum on both sides of the carpet and the floor below. In this way, you can remove surface dirt before it is low in fiber. Also, avoid placing jute rugs in high traffic areas, and use doormats – one on each side of each door – to trap dirt on the soles of shoes before they came inside. Take a conservative approach to removing stains from your carpets. Some jute rugs can be cleaned with a carpet cleaner or mild soap and water, but the first test in an inconspicuous place to see how the fibers are maintained. Work at a stain with a sponge or soft bristle brush, but do not rub. Once the soap rinses and dries the carpet as soon as possible – it's best to do it in a sunny and windy. To allow air circulation, drop in rug on a clothesline or porch railing. For more information on the topics covered in the Ask Martha column, visit www.marthastewart.com. Hope it helps.
