we have a small yellow oriental rug and a large red Oriental carpet. We have been cleaning wood floors and walls and urine stains can not actually see the urine on the carpet to carpet ingoring weve been for a while because I really do not use the room area. but recently I've been sleeping in the room and the stench is so unbearable. Ive browsed sites, saying that peroxide vinegar, bakingsoda are good for carpets, but what about the carpets? and I think the carpet is wool alitter Ive just done search and said .. any dry products are not good for carpets. such as baking soda
Your best bet may be taking him to a dry cleaner. If wool is limited in what you can do to without damaging the carpet. While is at the cleaners be sure to thoroughly clean the floor underneath the carpet. I had this happen to me once and from the old carpet was so huge it had no way to get a cleaning. First I applied a pre-carpet treatment of the enzyme in particular for urine / pet stains and then steam cleaning carpet with hot water. I used the pre-processing and selling shampoo with clean water vapor. I had to do this twice. Then I sprayed a lot of Fabrezan on both sides carpet and floor under the carpet. I use a box fan and a ceiling fan to dry it. It was a big job, but the carpet smells as fresh as can be now. If you try this, be sure to test a small inconspicuous area to ensure that the material is colorfast. Good luck!
